About John Llewellyn

DSC00435

I was born in 1943 and raised in Fort Worth, Texas.  I attended South High Mount Elementary School, Stripling Jr. High School, Arlington Heights High School.  At the end of the 10th grade I transferred to Fort Worth Christian High School, a private school.  I graduated in 1962.

My father instilled in me starting at an early age a strong work ethic.  My mother taught me about God and His Word.  I joined the US Army in 1964 and spent 28 plus years serving my country.  During my tenure in the Army I served in Germany twice, Greece and Turkey.  While serving in the States I served at Fort Polk, Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Hood, Fort Lewis, and Fort Dix.  I also served 2 years at the Pentagon and served a 6 month TDY in Panama.  Retired at Fort Hood as a Master Sergeant in 1992 at the age of 49.  I started working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in 1993 as a Correction Officer.  I retired from this job at the end of April, 2005.  It should be noted that I met my dear wife while serving in Greece.  We were married in November 1967 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

I am a firm believer in God and His Word.  I am a member of the only church that Jesus established on the Day of Pentecost.  I have titled this blog “John Llewellyn’s Bible Blog”.  The purpose of this blog is to reach as many people about God and His Son, Jesus Christ as I can.  Everything I post will be backed up by scripture.  Comments to any of my posts should be directed to a specific post.  If your comments are disagreeing with a post quote the scripture that shows my post to be in error.  Keep all comments to any post clean, no foul language.  Posts that meet my standard will always be published.  Agreement comments are always accepted.
